The enemy fired first, the bullet hit the cap. He was calm, eating cherries and spitting bones in Silvio. And he was desperately trying to catch a feeling of anxiety, which was not there. He postponed the decisive shot until better times. The main character dreamed of revenge. The hour has come - the offender will have a wedding soon. Silvio left to finish the job.
Many years later. The narrator moved to a poor village. There fate brought him to the count. The officer met influential people. The nobleman’s room had a picture - a view of Switzerland. She was shot by two bullets that were inserted one into the other. Men talked about shooting and the famous shooter. It turns out the count - a bold racket that gave Silvio a slap in the face. That day he walked with his wife, a man was waiting for him in his office. The nobleman was afraid that his wife would remain a widow for life. His eyes were full of fear; there was no longer any hope for life. The count got a saving shot, but he got into the picture. A connoisseur of shooting aimed, as at that time, for a long time. He specifically tested the patience of the defenseless. The wife came to the rescue in hysteria. She begged not to shoot, fell to her knees. Then the ambition of Silvio was finally satisfied. On the threshold, without aiming, he shot a picture with lightning speed and accurately fell into a bullet.
