(183 words) Life values are what people in their lives strive for, their guiding star. For each, they have their own - relationships, material wealth, work. These guidelines are especially different for people of different generations. I will prove this using the example of Shakhnazarov’s text.
Visitors to the family of Semyon Petrovich come to visit, who, together with the owner of the house, undertake to argue that the young generation has nothing positive, and their life values and not values at all. One woman condemns her daughter for dubious interests, because she is indifferent to the home library. And the owner of the house does not understand today's youth. He asks his daughter Katya to sing the Nightingale. Angry, the girl challenges them with an extraordinary act, making it clear that the values of young people do not have to coincide with the ideals of their parents.
So, in the story of N.V. Gogol "Taras Bulba" various beliefs of two generations led to a terrible tragedy. The father could not forgive his son Andriy for betraying his homeland and killed him. For Taras, love for the motherland is the most important thing in life, and for Andria, love for the woman, for the sake of whom he has gone over to the enemy.
As we can see, people's life values vary, but this, of course, is not a reason for condemnation.
Book example: Hero of A.S. Pushkin's “Captain's Daughter”, Peter Grinev is forced to dispute his father’s refusal to bless his marriage with Marya. The old nobleman believed that the party should be profitable, or at least equivalent, and the girl Mironova did not even have the most modest dowry. His values differed from the ideals of Peter, who believed that love in marriage is enough.
Movie example: In the movie by V.V. Menshikov “Moscow does not believe in tears,” Rodion’s mother prevents her son from marrying Katerina. In her list of life values in the first place is material prosperity, so she did not approve of the choice of her son. But Katerina was different, she really had a strong feeling for Rodion, which overshadowed all the benefits.
Life example: As a child, I often stayed with my grandmother, and she talked about my great-grandfather, who died in the war. This man lost his arm in the very first weeks of the war. They wanted to send him home, but he said that he would return only with victory. He did not live up to her, but did everything possible to keep her. But his son, the brother of his grandmother, did not approve of this decision. He believed that patriotism should not have squeezed out of a soldier’s heart a love for a family that was bad without him.
